From Riverside Park, looking south...

On the way home, I stopped and walked back to the bridge for this shot. Both are 3 shot at +/- 1 2/3 stop spread, handheld with the 40D at 6.5fps.

nice mitch, the first one is surreal and the second is more realistic.. showing what the allure of HDR is to folks like us...

Thanks Craig. I went out for the clouds. It's been totally overcast for 2 days now, then today some of it broke up this afternoon and I wanted to get it. And the trees are starting to change now, and wouldn't you know it, but right on a no stop bridge is the best place to get long shots of the bluffs when they start to change. I wanted to try the Tokina here to see what it would do. I think I will also take the 70-200 next time. And the Tripod. :)

when you go back to the bluff. would you take a pano of it using the 70-200. like to see a closer shot of the bluff. you know what i mean. the wide angle makes it look small.

Bill, I intend to get a Pano of the bluffs. Just looking for a good spot to shoot from. I have driven all over town at 10 mph, looking for places to stop and shoot them. Seems like the best spots are in the middle of intersections or in someones yard. :)
Thanks Avi. No, both are made from 3 shot sets at -1 2/3, 0, +1 2/3. The clouds are what really got me out yesterday. I knew how they were going to look in HDR. :)

Oh really!!! did you use the anti-ghosting feature of PM then ?? reason I am asking is coz I see 2 boats in the middle of the river and they look darn sharp to me on my monitor ..

They were moving slow, and I had the 40D on High Speed Burst, 6.5 frames per second. :)
