My dad just got a Canon A400. Is there a single compatible software product that can do all of the following:

1. download the images from camera to pc
2. delete images from memory card after download
3. do simple image editing: resize, adjust color, brightness, crop.
4. attach image to email

Jasc Paint Shop Photo Album (that came with his Dell computer) can do all those things with our toshiba camera. Jasc does not want to recognize his canon A400 however.

Canon's software seems to provide a multi-step procedure: ZoomBrowser downloads the images, then ArcSoft has to open to provide the needed editing, and neither offers to delete the images on the card after download.

Jasc was a nice, clean, simple, all-in-one program. Does anyone know of a similar option for the A400, or any suggestions as to why Jasc will not see the Canon?

Can the images on the A400 memory card not be deleted via the software as they are on our Toshiba?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Iphoto can do all of those things. Check the apple website for details.

Thanks for the help

I was actually able to find a solution. I was trying to have the Jasc software see the Canon via USB connection, and it wasn't working. On further inspection, I realized it had an option of using the WIA driver for connection, and now his Jasc software sees, downloads, deletes images from the memory card, just as it did with his previous camera.

All is right with his world. Thanks for any and all help.
