A gorgeous day for football in central Minnesota!
Haven't a clue if this will work, but..

Scored three touchdowns, gets picked up by a guy nearly a foot taller than him.

47 views and no comments or criticism? Am I so good even your keyboards are left breathless?
Don't be shy!

a'ight, I'll chime in. Love the emotional shots as they really convey the feeling of the moment and we don't see enough of that usually (I am a terrible offender of this). Image wise, the exposures are pretty good but your whites are getting a little borderline. Not too much so I am sure you could bring some back in PP, just watch them. Action seems very nice. What I don't like is that you seem a little late on most. If you are going to have a crop involved, be sure to get the head in as I think it's far more important than the feet, etc. I'd also recommend opening up a bit, #2 has way too much DOF for my taste but it seems the exif is stripped so I can't really tell ya much more without seeing settings.
Don't get me wrong, there are some really nice shots in there and some that are just so close to be great but those little thigns tripped you up.
Hope this helps.

Shot @ f/4 only, 300 2.8 with a Kenko converter. Only problem is the lack of distance between the player and the sidelines.
I really hate white uniforms.
Thanks for your suggestions though!

Why do people get so upset when everyone on POTN doesn't rush to their post and flood them with praise?
Anyhow, I agree with Scott. The crop is a bit tight on a few. A lot of chopped off heads. It would be nice to see the entire ball in #6. I think you did relatively well with shooting all white uniforms. It's hard, especially in bright sunlight.

Maybe because of the two pages of threads with comments posted more than a day after my own. People more interested in other work? I don't know Just seems odd that most forums will ask for members to participate.
Thanks for the feedback! I just shoot tight and sometimes heads don't get in the frame - though I'm sure most people know their skulls exist.

My suggestion would be to take suggestions in stride rather than defend a mistake made. Some may like the images, some may not. Learn from those that critique and you'll be better for it. You'll also get more responses (as Im sure you know) if the attitude is good. I'll reiterate my earlier crit...timing is late and that's why you are cutting off heads. Either that or you need to work a bit more on composition when shooting. Either way, those are both things that can be solved by shooting more and more. IQ is good on the shots so concentrate on timing and comp and I think you'll love the results.

The saying in sports photography is to shoot tight and crop tighter, but these are too tight. The way they are shot and cropped it looks like they are mistakes. Scott's C&C is right on.

There are some people (me included) who've posted photos and have gone days, even weeks without a comment. If you're taking it personal, then maybe this really isn't the place for you. Pekka has yet to twist anyone's arm and require them to participate.
