I like the top half more than I do the bottom.

This is my first ever HDR.. I used photomatix to blend them together.
C&C is greatly appreciated!

I have found that trees, and especially greenery, does not render well in HDR. I have pulled it off a few times, but consider that I got lucky. Things that work the best are concrete, stone, brickwork and metal. Water seem to do OK too, but the ripples can throw off the alignment.

In the latest version of Photomatix, you can load settings that you or someone else saved. Once you get to the tone mapping interface, where all the sliders are, you can drop down the Presets box and either load or save your settings. I will attach some I have saved that you will find interesting to run. When you load one of the files, it will move all the sliders to what I had when I saved it. This might help give you an idea of where to start.

Just get this Zip file, then put all the xmp files into the Presets folder in your Photomatix installation folder. Load several to see the differences. :)

Trees can turnout well with a lot of PP and if the hdr was generated from a single RAW. I find that it is hard to get any realistic green from foliage tho.

i agree with the OP.. if he crops the shot right where the tops of the trees in the bottom half end, it will look much nicer.
