I capture this naked eye event on 7 Nov, 2007 around 10 pm with the 30D and a 70-200 and a kinko 1.4x tc.

I have some brighter shots but you lose Nucleus definition in them. For some reason this comet would not stack. I took about 40 4 sec frames and 30 or so darks, flats and bias frames and could not get it to look right after stacking. I tried DSS and registax. Oh well.

Maybe it's because your only 4-sec shots ? You really needed longer exposers to bring out the Nucleus . I't hard to see except in closeups . I have one at work on my computer that if i have time i'll post it Monday . Meanwhile check out the one i posted a few minutes ago . Nucleus is somewhat visible .

4sec was about max as I have no guiding equipment. I own 2 large dobs and no use for a GEM

So did you use the dob for this exposer ? Still very nice ! Did you take them PF or AF ?

No it was made with a 70-200 with a kenko 1.4x on the back. I did not have a T-ring and tube when this was made.
