The first time I ever tried an HDR on a person. Done from 1 RAW +, -1/3,2/3,and 1 stops for a total of 7 images merged into the HDR. Merged and tonemapped in photomatrix, slight curves adjustment in CS3.

I'm not happy with it. I may reprocess it one day but for now I'm going to leave it alone.

There are a lot of HDR shots out there that will never look that great, no matter what the PP method is...in my opinion. I seemed to only like hdr shots of some cool looking sky or a building with colorful lights around it.

Maybe it's from starting from one single RAW. I have never done people either. That's my next experiment. Still, I have done Single RAW conversion, after exporting tifs at different exposure levels from CS3 ACR and they came out pretty good.

this is where alot of pp comes into play.. skin smoothing and noise reduction.. for starters
