AstroTrac TT320X....

Have any of you guy's used or had any experience of the AstroTrac ( http://www.astrotrac.com/ (http://www.astrotrac.com/) ) ? It's probably going to be the next thing on my shopping list, I just wondered if anyone had first hand experience ?

Interesting design Adam. I like the simplicity of it. The only question in my mind is the 33lb. weight capacity(seems a bit optimistic with the mounting hardware shown). I'm sure most people would place far less than that but with the camera/lens sitting on a ball head there could be some flexure if the load was front heavy like with a long prime lens. Flexure is weight sag that occurs even in seemingly solid telescope mounting hardware. It mimics drift or movement. I suppose you could select a very heavy duty ball head and be fine. But overall it's not a bad looking portable set up, especially with smaller lenses for widefield shots. I'd like to try one with my Takahshi FS-60, it's very light.
