Caught these two enjoying the warm sunshine we got yesterday. First is a Pintail, second is a Woodduck.

Comments welcomed.

They look quite a bit better off than the snow bound ones we have here. Good color, good clean shots.

Thanks. The Pintail was resting in a shadow, so I was a bit worried about getting enough light on him. As for the snow, we've been fairly warm here lately, so everything's melting off. Possibility of more coming Monday though.

Thanks Reigh. Could use a little help identifying these two. I believe the first is a Bluebill, however, I haven't got a clue on the second. Can anybody help?

Great shots! The Pintail is soo sweet.

I believe the other two are American Widgeon and Goldeneye.

Thanks. You are likely correct on the second two. I was guessing.

AF, nice waterfowl shots! That Sprig has nice long pins, would be a great shot to get him in flight.

Great shots. I love the pintail. That would be my favorite duck. They are hard to get photos of around here where I live.

Thanks all for the kind comments! These were definitely examples of the "shoot as many pictures as possible and hope a few come out good" technique. I shot 167 pics that day! There are others that came out decent, but I felt these were the best of the bunch.

Again, thanks.:D

Excellent shots, they show the true quality of the rebel when in good hands.

Again, thank you all. I'm attaching the last two for this thread. The second one isn't particulary special, other than that I like his posture as he's walking. It just kind of looks to me like there should be a caption with it or something. Too early for me to think of one though.

These are all good and I just love the walking duck; Yes it does lend itself for a caption.
