I think this is my first post. I've been browsing around for some time jealous of everyone with a 20d. I am proud to announce that I am a brand new owner of a 20d. I love this camera. I got the 18-55mm lens kit. I'm hoping to be posting some pics soon and aspire to be as good as most of you here.

I can ascertain your assumption ... based on the number of posts that is currently stated under your name, this is really your first post :lol:

We are happy to have you here with us.
Just spend some more time here ... learn a lot about photography ... and be seduced to spend your hard earned cash on fancy Japanese optics.

And be sure to read the 'sticky' posts in the forum. They are a great primer and contain lots of useful information.

That's a worthy goal and an attainable one if you work hard. There are a couple very good photographers here, and you'll know them all in time, at least by their work.

Welcome to the forums :) I got my 20D about a week ago and I love it . I got the kit lens too but I'm going to save up and get the 17-40 L lens.

My 20D just went back for either cleaning or replacement so no camera for a few days :( The sensor looked like someone had thrown sand into it when it arrived with me, I suspect it was used by someone and returned, despite being told they don't do that. How they handle this will tell whether I go back to them or not.
