Langley Speedway?

Has anyone ever shot/drove here? I am moving to Hampton VA (Langley) in two days and I was wondering how photographer friendly they are? What kind of tracks do they have and what are the race schedules?

Langley's a half-mile oval (http://www.langley-speedway.com/) that seems to have plenty of room in the infield. Call and ask if you can buy a pit pass that will get you inside. If you're willing to pay to get into the infield, sometimes it makes a difference when you're trying to make a first impression.

I've shot at Langley mostly for auto-cross events, so I've been inside the track or just outside of the barrier wall. You're going to want to get a pit-pass or have access to the infield or else you're fighting a tall fence around most of the track, and where the fence isn't you'll need special permission to get there.

The next event I'm tentatively planning on attending is the Night of Destruction, its usually an awesome time.

Night of destruction, huh? Sounds awesome. I think I'm going to check it out after work today.

Night of Destruction is their annual demolition derby and demolition derby-like events held on the 18th of October.
