Come on Tom - let's see your 5,000th!:D
Since right now is a bit of a down time in WAIN, it's probably a good time to post #5,000 and reflect bit. I probably won't be as verbose as Roy in his 5,000th. ;)
Since most of my posts have been in the WAIN thread, this is certainly the most appropiate place to ramble for a bit. POTN had taught me a lot about photography, technique, composition, camera functions etc. But WAIN has exposed me to many wonderful places in the world. Natural beauty, architectural wonders, historic events and numerous family vacation spots have all been fun WAIN pictures to figure out. One never knows what continent the next WAIN photo will be from: will it look vaguely familiar or will it require an epic google search for clues?
It's kind of funny how we learn about the travel history of other WAIN participants. Roy's trip to Mason City Iowa, Monty's beach bar hangout, Dereks trip to Italy, pics from the South Pole, Great Wall, Iceland and thousands of places in between.
I've enjoyed 5,000 posts and look forward to 5,000 more. Thanks to everyone who has posted here for making this a fun and entertaining thread.
Now stop reading this mushy reflection from an old geezer, and get back to WAIN. :D
