When this picture was taken I knew nothing about the rule; never center the horizon in your shots but oh well I still like the colors...will not forget the next time.

My compliments on the colors you captured.

As for the rule of 1/3s, I have to concede that it would have made this very good image that much better.

Nice work nevertheless....

Nothing lost here,. with a breif bit of work in your photo editor you can fix the "rule of thirds problem" and straighten the horizon while your at it. Just rotate the image to get the horizon line straight and then crop off the bottom third or so,.. the rocks are too dark to matter any way,.

..this will leave you the beautifull sunset over that vast expanse of Newfy Ocean :)

Very nice Frank, I allways like to see anything from beautifull Newfoundland :)

I took your good advise and did a rotate a crop and it looks much better. It's all in a learning curve, thank you very much for your time.

Thanks for your comments! I'm now living in Paradise but this shot was takin at Lobster Cove Head in Rocy Harbour, Gros Morne National Park. I also have a few sunsets kicking around which I wouldn't mind sharing. I'm just a novice so they may not be that good...Frank

It's a nice picture, just a little too plain for me. It needs a focal point, too bare.

It wasn't meant to have a focal point !
