This is your brain on poutine.
Man, that is one ugly bird. I don't think I have the heart to tell him/her.

Looks like a refugee from the stork old folks home; "...why when I was your age, we'd deliver 20 babies a night in driving snowstorms" LOL
Seriously, great shot

it's good that birds don't have mirrors, otherwise the bird would probably have killed itself
nice capture though.

Ugly indeed. It seems a Maribu, which I believe it may be related with the storks but has the behaviour of a volture.
Kreepy bird...
Wouldn't hang it on my wall ;) but it's a good photo of the thing!

A Maribu?? I did not see anything that described the bird, I just saw it and snapped a few shots.
I have a closer head shot I'll post up shortly.

Getting a closer look I don't think it's diseased. I'm pretty sure it's just butt ugly. I'm glad it can't read this but somebody must have told it by now.

The bird can't be that ugly if the photography took the time to take the shot, unless the photographer wastes his/her time shooting ugly things.

Yep, another overdose of poutine . . . the effects are not very pretty. Nice catch by the way, in the last stages of the OD the affected person, animal, etc. et al explodes into a fire ball and nothing but ash is left. I think this one was very near to go . . .

nice shots. He reminds me of a Skeksy from the Dark Crystal... "chamberlain!!" It's a great movie if you know what I'm talking about... the muppets on acid.

Bingo! ...and no, it's not diseased. They really do like that.
They feed off carcases occasionaly so I guess, like vultures, it makes sense not to have any feathers on the head.
