Here is a shot looking southwest, unfortunately looking towards the city of Indianapolis which is about 25 to 30 miles in that direction. The awefull glow ruins all my views towards the south. I really need to invest in a light pollution filter.
Camera 5D, ISO 200, TV 298 sec., AV 5.0, Lens 24-70mm @ 24mm, single image

I don't know... I don't mind the effect personally. I can see why it would be annoying but here I think it doesn't detract.

Thanks. I did try and make the best of a bad situation here. It is just when you are trying to get stars and you have a menacing yellow glow for a third of the sky it can get frustrating.

Thanks for the C&C. I'll give that a try next time and see what I can come up with.

If it had been a still image the LP glow would not have been so bad and it would be darker , therefore not showing the windmill as well . Sometimes you really can't see the effect of Light Pollution except in long exposers like this . The best way to keep out LP is location . If where you are imaging from has a city or any light source in the far background even so far away you can't see it there will be skyglow (Light Pollution) :( . If you can always try a location where light source does not effect the image unless you want it there , otherwise point your camera away from the light source .

Is it really LP or the setting sun?
I like the composition of the shot. It has a dual landscape/ startrail perspective.
