Photo of the quiet streets (and sidewalk) of the town in which I live. Check out the leather on the bicycle... nice touch! :)

Nice colors. A shot like this always looks a little better with a focal point such as a person or people walking the sidewalk in it. Walking away from the camera is best since they can become too much the focus if they are facing the camera.

I actually waited for the sidewalk to clear to give the quiet, almost ghost town sort of appearance. There were actually about 25 people behind me who were so angelic as to wait for me to snap the photo... heh heh heh. Another thing I love about small towns. So willing to help. :)

Nice pic. Next time I do an overnighter in Montague I'm taking my gear with me. There are some great water pic opportunities.

Heck yeah, there are! In fact, weather permitting, I have a shot in mind for slightly after the sun sets. I just hope the waves are high...

Have to agree with bhunter. Also, I wish part of the bike weren't cropped out. Thanks for sharing!

I still disagree... having a crowd of people on the sidwalk would ruin the illusion of a deserted, lonely town... which is the whole purpose of the photo. Total contradiction.
As for the bicycle... yeah... my lens was just a TAD to long. My choice was either get the whole bicycle tire in, or more of the building in. I chose the building. But, don't you think the leather on the bicycle just makes that a mean ride? heh heh heh

Hey I was there last Saturday when I rode the bike trail. Lots of neat stuff around to see. The small town setting is nice and the colors are sharp.

It's a nice little town. I'm actually going to be moving to the NYC area, soon (the sooner, the better!!!). I'll miss the small town feel, though.
