I just saw that the G10 is showing "In Stock" at amazon. Only a couple left, being sold from 17th Street Photo. As of 912PM Pacific time Wed evening.

I had to laugh when I saw that. Figured there was someone in an accounting office regretting life since they would have to file some form to get reimburse or some such thing.

Hope all that wanted one got one. This seems to be another one of those hype and wait to deliver deals from what all the waiting lists look like.

I actually did the preorder but happened across the site and figured what the heck. I may end up with 4 who knows. If I get the shipping notice on these I'll cancel the other order before it ships.

I don't think that anything other than "Ships from and sold by Amazon" items are showing the "in-stock" tag correctly.

It said in stock from 17th camera, but their place lists it as out of stock. Same for other stores, Amazons list as item in stock and the store's main site lists as in back-order or something similar.

Please tell us when you orders actually start shipping as we are probably looking into buying one.

I had pre-ordered mine and just received notification that it is enroute to arrive
on Monday! BUT, I'll be in Madrid Sunday!!! :(
as Maxwell Smart would say 'Missed it by that much' :)

Funny thing though, the spare battery I ordered was not in stock yet...

I was leary of the 17th street status of "In Stock" until I got the shipping notice. they will be here Monday. Looks like it was accurate. The local stores gave me the blank look when I asked at Samy's etc.

Funny thing...I also have 2 coming from Amazon LLC, I forgot to cancel the pre-order. Anyone want one? I should know in the next day when they are arriving.

WooHoo! Just pulled the trigger on my G10. Had some Amazon.com giftcards to use so I ended up paying $44. Should have it by the 2nd week in October. Can't wait to play.

As I mentioned earlier, I "accidentally" got 2 orders placed so Amazon will have 2 G10s being returned to them shortly (scheduled to be delivered to me on 9th). If anyone is in SoCal and is having difficulty finding one let me know, I will sell for the same I was charged.

Whew, I must have just slid in because I got my tracking number today from Adorama. Still expecting it the second week in October. I'm impatient, its hard to wait 1-3 months for anything.
