Hi All,

Was digging through my old files and found this one from my trip to Rohtang Pass in 2006. Though HDR use to attract me even then, but I use to click in JPG and not RAW. So the HDR image below is a combination of 7 JPG exosures (-3 to +3). Also, for a change, I used Dynamic HDR instead of PM.

This road takes you to the world's highest motorable pass (khardung la). This is one of the view you get while going to Rohtang Pass.

Please let me know what you think about the processing...as always harsh C&C is most welcome.

Here is the image.

It's a great scene Avi. Looks just a little dark on the right side, but it's still a good shot. Looks like a great scenic wonder.

I have tried 4 or 5 of the free trial versions of other programs. And ended up spending my money on PM. ;)

There is a lot more detail in this one, but I think the edges of the clouds are a little hot. Not sure how I would fix that though. :)

yeah...now when I compare both of em side by side...I understand what you mean...clouds really sucks in the PM version....and I dont know why...but now the image looks a little flat as well :(
I think need to do more work on the PM version...

thanks for pointing that out Mitch...I was more interested on shadow details...and never looked at the clouds.. :(

That is an awesome photo and a great example of a more natural looking HDR. I like some photo's highly processed but I would bet this looks very much like you remember it !
