Took my new 1D and 300mm F4 to Castle Combe to give them their first try ...
Not the best of conditions - the hail storm was no fun :(

And you don't see too many of these around...

The light looks horrible, I can see you were struggling with it! Lovely pan shot on the Elise and the VX220 has worked well too!
As to the Zagato bodied Aston... I remain unconvinced; not by your shot, just by the car. I saw one at Silverstone last year... possibly the same one.
So how did you like the new toys? :D

I passed a DB7 Zagato 2 days ago just down the road from where I live, in fact it looked exactly the same as the one you've photographed. It may not have the prettiest face but you could hear it for miles :D

Nice shots, agree with Cadwell about the Lotus & vx220, as for the Aston, 'YES PLEASE'
I would be interested in your views on the 300f4
Cheers

Found it! It's the same one

It was lurking round the back of the pits at the Silverstone Historic Festival last year. One of those moments when you wish you hadn't forgotten your polarizer
Now this is much prettier. The 1961 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato...

(Sorry about the awful picture. It was one of my first attempts with the 10D :o )

I too like the elise shot... shame he hadn't given it a wash while in the pits for you though ;-)

Well, I stand by my first comment "you don't see many of these" ... you just see the same one! ;)
Alan - It must of been a nightmare driving in that - I was at Avon Rise and couldn't see the pits!
The new gear was a dream to use - business as usual only faster :)
The 300mm F4 was nice and quick and very easy to hand-hold. Worked well with the 1.4x TC. Not quite so good when there's a monopod quick-release plate wedged in the lens hood ... don't ask :o
Not decided on a workflow yet - these were the JPGs straight out of the camera. I was shooting RAW too, but I've not had chance to play with them yet.

Why is everyone overlooking the Chevette ?
Atleast it's the 2.3HE. Quite quick for it's age and beautifuly tail-happy.
And no, I'm not that old. My dad had one :-)
