What tricks does your pet do? My dog is food obsessed which probably influenced his best trick. He can track and catch a single peanut from across the room. He rarely misses even if it means an over the shoulder catch. No second chances though, the next peanut has to be thrown at point blank range. I know, pretty lame trick, but his other talents are downing a can of dog food in 55 seconds and sleeping a lot.:)

My dog is the exterminator of soap bubbles.

Haha my dog has none of those natural talents, but she can do the usual sit, down, paw, etc. then she knows up (beg), speak, wave, and bam (play dead). She also has great discipline. I like to balance treats on her nose, then wait for a while, maybe 30 seconds, before saying "okay" and having her toss the treat up and catch it. I also like to put a treat in front of her and trell her to stay. Then I'll leave and walk around the house, or wherever, and come back after a minute or two and tell her "okay" and she'll eat the treat. Her favorite "trick" is find it, where I sit her in a room and tell her to stay, then I hide a treat, and go back to her (sitting as still as a statue) and tell her "find it!" and she'll tear around the house with her nose going full speed until she discovers the hiding place.

My cat fetches (yes, you read that right) the plastic retaining rings under the caps of fizzy drink bottles when flicked. She sits and waits for you to take it off for her as soon as she hears the 'Shhhhhhhhh' of the bottle opening:cool:

My dog gets his own ice from the ice maker dispenser and drinks his water out of the bathroom sinks, I have installed automatic faucets so My dogs don't have to have water bowls anymore they prefer the fresh water from the tap.

Hehe... PeaceGoats, that's awesome!!! She must be incredibly smart and she gotta have an amazing owner to have trained her so well :D

I've got two cats.. one is incredibly lazy and his best trick is probably to not even open an ajar door to get through - he'd rather sit in front and meow for as long as it takes to either get the other cat to open it wider for him or until one of us has to walk through the door again ... *G*

The other cat however I sometimes think is a dog. He comes running when you whistle, he brings you a toy mouse when you sit down somewhere and wants you to toss it. You toss it, he runs and brings it back to you... rinse and repeat. He'll do that for hours on end :)

Both are very good in being bathed though - the lazy one even seems to enjoy the hot water :D
Other than that ... :c) ... Normal cats I'd say, but the best ones there are *g*

My dog french kisses. And he likes it.

He also has the ability to share copious amounts of foul gas that has an amazing hangtime.

I'm not a fan of either of these tricks.

I find the french kiss part gross, the gas part is normal same with my dog and have fun always blaming others in the house :D

Two cats here...

Our male American Shorthair is very adept at opening doors. We had to replace the "French" paddle type handle with a round knob on our laundry room door after we found him curled up and napping in the washer. We also keep several door locked when we're not in those rooms.

Our little female Korat is just good at being cute. She will flop on her back for a belly rub when she feels like it...

Tricks? Hmmm... my two cats have trained their pet human to feed them twice a day, keep their litterboxes clean and pay the mortgage. What other tricks do they need? Oh yeah... pet them on demand and supply an unending variety of cat toys.

5 month old jack russell-she knows sit, come, stay, laydown, rollover, jump, spin, BANG! (play dead), "give me all your money" (squat down on her butt and raise her paws in the air). In development is a wall assisted paw stand and crawl...then maybe take a bow? Not sure yet though.

My year-old Goldendoodle, Holly, has a fetish for any type of running water. She especially loves jumping for the stream of wter from the garden hose. Holly doesn't have any interest in fetching but will play with a hose stream for hours if we let her. Of course, this is more of a summer sport than one we play in the winter.

my dog chases and retrieves tennis balls and will go for hours, upon hours, upon hours...

also she usually has a penchant for farting while sitting nonchlantly then looking towards her behind as if to say... "Did that come from me?"

fortunately they suprizingly don't smell too bad...

She is also the loudest snorer in the house...

Some of my pets 'tricks' have been already described.

My Bichon does nothing that's considered a trick, but when she's on her back, you can 'tickle' her legs and she'll stretch them out as far as she can. It's cute.

My Corgi knows her basics, sit & down and the likes, but her best is stay. I'll leave a treat in front of her, or I'll take one with me and go as far away from her as possible, and she'll stay frozen until I say her command. She is also obsessed with water either from hoses or from the shower head. A few times she's tried to jump into the shower with me and started attacking the water drops.

My cat Jim, also knows no tricks, but he loves ice cubes! He'll bat them around for as long as they hold out without melting. I've even caught him climbing up into the fridge door trying to stick his paws up into the 'magic ice cube dispenser'!

None of my other animals do anything exciting. The hamsters sleep, my other two cats are not real snuggly critters, as they are outdoor cats.
