Well, I have been working on it for a few weeks now in my spare time and my home studio is now ready for use. It was formerly had a sports bar theme with a pool table and dart board. What you see against the wall is the only piece of the pool table I couIdn't fit into my attic. It is not visible when the backdrop is down. I painted, ripped up the carpet and laid the Pergo floor. Now I am ready to get some family/friends in to practice on and start looking for some paying customers. My main concern is that the room is 15' x 15' and that may be a little small. I would like to mainly shoot kids so I hope the size won't too limiting in what I can do. Anyways, we'll see what happens......Here is a picture.......thanks

All you need now is people lining up at the door to get their portraits done. If you get overwhelmed, send some my way and I'll help you out. Looks great and the best of luck to you.

Looks like a great studio, lots of room and a great job on the room in general. I got one thing i might suggest though. You prolly worked hard painting the main walls the brown, which looks very nice, but i dont see any windows in the room so im wondering you might not have enough light, and so the reflections off the walls will give the photographs a brown tint to them, unless u got a good light kit because i cant tell what ur running from the pic but they look good. So i dont know if im just being picky but white or near white walls will reflect the light around the entire room and u wont have the brown tint effect, unless ur going for that??? But overall u did some great work on the room and i wish u luck in getting some good clients

The walls look gray to me. Maybe just my monitor.

Thanks everyone......
Ian--I would LOVE to have the kind of space you have, at 15' x 15' I hope not to feel too cramped.
Avalonthas--I actually had the paint for the walls color matched to 18% gray in the hopes that I would avoid any color casts at all. We'll see how it works out. Pe-painting won't be a problem if I need to.
Thanks
John

you think 14 x 9ft would be too small to make a studio room ? The window is on the 9ft side of the room btw ..
