Am picking up a gently used G9 + the Canon underwater housing on Monday.

Any comments on the usage underwater...or general hints tips etc?

Works well.

Consider an external flash. There are shadows from the internal flash if you don't use the diffuser. If you use the diffuser, the range is extremely limited.

Also, get the weight kit from canon. It will be very difficult to shoot without it.

Be very careful about sealing your housing. O rings must be clean and lubricated. The inexpensive housings for P&S cameras tend to flood a lot.

Thanks for the heads up guys.

One of the local camera shop guys gave me an external flash unit + underwater housing on a stalk and body platform. Not a smart flash just a dumb sensor triggered one. But I figured it would work in combo with the built in flash on the G9.

And I ordered a Lensmate adaptor so I could use a c-Pl I have.

Also wanted to try a Phoenix Super fisheye I had laying around with it.

Every heard any comments on this fisheye with the G9???
