hey i know this is prob. in the wrong section but im looking to taking some nice pics so that means getting a decent camera
so i know someone with a canon 20d with a 18-55 lens for $400 is it worth it?
please help me or point me in the rite direction of what to buy
keep in mind i know nothing about photo.

thats probably about a normal used price if in good cosmetic condition

Yeah I'd say that's a good price for a good camera. I shoot a 20D and frankly, it's great. You could go buy a new lower-end DSLR for a similar (probably more expensive) price, but the 20D is a solid performer any way you look at it.

just get a sony point and shoot
you wont regret it, they make the best tv's and the best video gaming machines, why not a great digital camera

20D is a good start. You might want ti find a better lens though. The kit lens isn't up to much.
