Wrapping up dinner

I have no idea what type of spider this is, but I caught him wrapping up dinner. Fascinating to watch really. I just wish I could have gotten a good shot of his face.

This was taken with a Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 macro with a 2x TC attached on a 40D.

Here is a shot of the spider a few days before his feast. My wife and I were very astounded watching him weave his web. Normally she would have had me kill him, but watching the web weaving process intrigued us both so she let me spare him.

I must say, it's very interesting watching a web be built from the beginning.

Edit: I know it's noisey, but I had to shoot with ambient light on this one so the ISO was pretty high.
