View Full Version : Reach for the sky.... C&C please

Hi All,

This is a big park near my house. Went there to find some good opportunities...an HDR was not the idea behind the shoot...but that's what I ended up doing.. :)

After working in PM, played with some dodge/burning in photoshop and some minor adjustments with curves and lil bit of cloning...

An amazing picture, although I can't work out what it is. It's a little over-processed for my taste though.

Thanks for the comments Roy...Its a branch of a tree...I just tried to capture a different view of it...pointing towards the clouds...
been trying for little overprocessed looks...so I know what you mean...

Great shots Avi. That first one is unique. I have seen trees with branches something like that, but never one that had it's own ecology on it. It came out very nice. The second one is a little drab, but then, vegetation HDR usually is. :)

yeah...thanks Mitch....1st is my favorite as well...

sharing 1 more from the same day...couldn't find the lotus...what the heck...let me capture the lotus leaves...this one was shot after a short pour from those dark clouds in the first one.///

Now that you tell me what it is, I think it's a very imaginative shot (I still think it's over-processed though :)).

yeah...it is an intentional over processed shot...
I know many dont like it...

#1 does it for me, I like the overprocessed look. You could name it "point to the sky".

I dont have any other shot of the branch...but I can go back there on any weekend to click again...ofcourse I won't get the same clouds..
