Hi All,

This is a PM generated HDR. While playing with the sliders everything looked ok to me...but when I clicked on process....I see a white patch in the middle of the tree...

here is the straight out of PM version:

After opening the PM version in Photoshop, I did some dodge/burn to remove the white patch.
Below is the dodge/burn version of the image...

but I am not sure which should I keep...

Also I am not sure whats the reason of the white patch...any idea ??

Thanks for viewing and the poll...
also, please dont forget to leave your valuable comments...

The second version looks nicer. I have seen these blobs of wash out before, and usually in the middle of a more solid area of color, and usually green. No idea where it comes from or how to get rid of it, but I bet it is related to the halo effect. It's still an imperfect science.

#2. I have only been playing around in PM for a week or so but as Mitch had stated it looks like some kind of halo? Was it kind of hollow in the middle of the tree?

I prefer the lighter look to the tree and leaves in #1

yeah...even I am kinda confused...I think some halo effect...I saw the same blob today in my other thread while working on the "lotus leaf" image...but it was not so noticeable in that one...

nops...the original image is a clean image with no halo...as mitch said...even I noticed that it has something to do with green.

Thanks all for your comments...
