Andrew you have a nice set of images. However, I had to change them to links because the images are larger than 1024 on the longest side. Also the OP is only allowed to embed up to 8 images. Please see the Link to the Image Posting Rules in my Signature.
Thanks

Nice variety you posted of the airshow. Those wide angle statics make some of the aircraft look distorted.

Cheers - apologies for that. If I get time, would it be possible to resize 8 of the shots and repost them in this thread?

Thanks, there was a greater variety of aircraft, including many aerobatic planes that I did not manage to capture. I know the wide angles (taken with a 10-22) loose the true perspective of the subject, but taking those photos was more about capturing different views rather than recording correct details.

Sure. After you resize just replace the [img] tags in your first post.

Nice clear shots for 1/50th. Were those handheld or monopod? Great images. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Peter, Dave and Kevin.
The shots were all handheld. I was using a 70-200 f/4 IS for the flying / taxiing shots. Initially I had the IS on mode 2, but because of the angle of the flight path to our close viewing location I wasn't always moving it directly sideways and I think the IS for the vertical might have interferred with some of the earlier shots and I ended up turining it off. Rather than holding the lens at the zoom ring I tried holding it at the hood and this made it a lot steadier. Naturally there were plenty of OOF and blurred shots that have since been vapourised :) The static shots were taken with a 10-22mm.
