I cover this high school football team as part of my beat. The're ranked in the the top 10 in Class 7A in Illinois. After their fourth straight win they started holding up the number of wins for a group shot, which is this post. Be kind of fun if the streak continued, plus, I'd like to go downstate to shoot some IHSA playoff games. I guess we'll see how they do.

The game next week with You guys vs Freeport will be great seen both teams now and both are quick and can run and pass the ball and also can play stiff defense, but I think Harlem will take them you guys have more weapons.

Being 6-0 now they can get to 8-0 then comes Boylan and I believe Boylan has not played a tough team yet so they could run the table.

Whether they beat Boylan or not they'll still make the playoffs and hopefully win a few games. Getting downstate would be great for the school and with some luck they just may get there. They have to get past Freeport first. Guilford played them well but the credit goes to the Harlem coaches that made the necessary adjustments at halftime to turn the game around.

Thanks, I'm trying. I do this on a semi-professional basis. When I retire from my real job I want to do this full time.

Are you from DeKalb? I love that town. I went to NIU and met my wife of 25 years at 328 Augusta Avenue in 1982.

I was there the day after the shootings in February taking some snaps. The mood and aire of the campus was downright depressing. What a terrible thing to have happen.

Yea they are already guraunteed a playoff spot with 6 wins, I saw Freeport last night and they were good, but Hononegah beat them barely and we both know what Harlem did to Hononegah.

Portillo's is a temple to us. We drive an hour to go to the one near Woodfield or if we're down in Dekalb we go to the one in Sycamore.

If you want to get to State, you may want to register with VIP. They have a contracts with State Finals in the Midwest. Here's a link http://www.vipis.com/VIP/Default.aspx

Thanks. I worked for VIP for a couple of years but don't do it anymore as I make more money from my own internet sales versus what they pay on an hourly basis. If this team does go downstate I'll be going as a shooter for a local newspaper as they'll get media passes from the IHSA.
