Great capture and prop blur. Were you away from the crowds near a pylon?

Great angle on the P51. Were you near the turning pylons again?

What lovely capture, fantasting angle. I must admit that the Mustang is one of my favorite aircraft, after seeing one in action recently at an air show here in the UK, they have an amazing presence.

One of my favorite planes. I got a ride in one at the Experimental Aircraft show in Rockford Illinois for my 12th birthday present. Still a new airplane back then, newer than my present car. :)

I don't follow the races, but I know these two planes. Or rather, I know the WW2 versions, and have seen them flying many times. So how close to "stock" are they? Still the same engines, maybe rebuilt, or are they completely rebuilt and nothing like the originals?

Also, "from Pylon #2"? You mean you were in the pylon?

At pylon 2 out on the course. Both of these planes are running in the Bronze and are stock. In the Gold class the planes usually have cut down wings, canopys, and the motors are modified to produce much more horsepower than stock. They also run spray bars and ADI to keep things cool.
