my 2 cents..... the bottom pattern works against the rest of the shot.
The fence works - though.
I like geometric shapes and pattern too - especial when shot to create abstract....

What if you tightened the crop to remove the fence and lower pattern. Create a play on the circular lanterns and lines of red on the under side of the roof.
