Nice image TrekPic. Is that taken from inside the city of Waterloo? If it is, it is a good pic with light pollution of a fair sized city. If you clone out the hot/cold/dead pixels it looks like it would be nice image. If you ever get a chance and can get hold of a wide angle lens, circum-polar shots look pretty good. And if you can get out in the rural areas away from the light pollution even better.
Here is a circum-polar shot from last night here in Indiana using a 24mm-70mm lens.
Camera 5D, ISO 125, TV 1915 sec. ( 31.9 minutes), AV 6.3, Lens 24-70mm @24mm

Very cool.
This was only the 2nd night I tried, now my remote switch from
ebay crapped out on me. Looking to get a nice one now. :D

Are you refering to TrekPic's or my image? If mine, I apologize for not putting this info down. It is a single 30+ minute image with the in-camera noise reduction on.

I was referring to TrekPics, but it's good to get details of all images. I only asked because I tend to get lots of noise and light-pollution on very long exposures, but then I've not tried many. I put my camera to ISO100 and a high f/ value the other night, and took some 10-minute shots. Got hardly anything, so opened the aperture a bit and ended up with some acceptable trails. Stacked two images together to get effectively 20-minutes.......and I was going to post it here, but I can't find it!
