Unfortunalety, nowadays, photography is way undervalued. Mainly because the unclebobs or cheaps photographers.
And unfortunately they do have some good pictures to show to brides...
So, as an strategy to take us apart from them, what you think about the idea of explain every single picture you show to your potential clients?
After all, most of what we'll say is too obvious for us, but I trully believe that if you say some technical details on your image (light, composition) or just tell them about the moment you took, what you did to took that shot, you will make them (the couple) believe you are the best.
What you think about that?

if a "cheap photograher" took good pictures, then I'd hire him/her before you.

Hi Mike.
I meant good photography to one that doesn't understand photography at all.
Not for us who have a critique eye.
Hope you get my idea now!

I think I might explain some of your pics, especially if a potential client was concerned about a certain situation, like low light. However, I wouldn't explain every picture. I would be concerned that it might come off as condescending.

That statement comes across as being extremely pretentious.:)
Just a question but, do you think clients actually want "Photographs" (art), or just nice images recording their special day?
Personally, I would fall into the second group. I wouldn't care what iso, focal length, aperture or shutter speed you used.
As they say... "I don't know anything about art, but I know what I like".
Just let the clients see your work and let them make up their own minds. Only if the ask technical questions would I offer such detail.

I just send the photographs to them. Answer any questions if asked.

I show 50 or more photos in a slide show, as well as a few albums, no way do I want to explain them all. Pictures should speak for themselves, if it doesn't jump out at the customer there's no point trying to explain it to them.

Tedious and boring. They either like your work or don't. Any explanation will go over the head of someone who doesn't appreciate or recognize good photography anyway.
Oh and if you feel that it takes an explanation to separate yourself from others' work, then you really aren't that much better. The other photographer whose work is just as good could explain their images as well and you're back to square one in trying to separate yourself.

Just let your pictures speak their thousand words.

Some of the best responses to my photographs have come from situations where the client saw the final product and said something like, "Wow, that's great! I was wondering what the hell you were doing when you asked us to do that."
I think that reaction does more for your reputation than any amount of "impressing them with technical jargon" can do.
