Does anyone use one or multiple Q-Flashes for shoots. Your thoughts?

I use a Q Flash T2D. It's a great flash. It's parabolic reflector gives a nice light distribution. You can use bare bulb when you want to. You can do ETTL, Manual, Auto Thyristor. The only thing I don't like is the fact that it is large and takes up alot of room in my bag with the battery pack.

thanks scott

do you ever shoot with 2 on stands with umbrellas?

i was thinking about them and pocket wizards for location portraits instead of two alien bees and a vagabond.

i was also going to use them to fill banquet and reception halls by bouncing of the ceiling.

No. I opted to go with 3 550EX's instead due to the portability factor.

I have a 20D, 580EX and was thinking about getting a QT4D with 2x2 Turbo battery to use doing beach weddings. (thoughts? overkill?)

What is not clear is whether I need some kind of wireless adapters to make the Qt4d work and if so what kind is best. I don't want to order this thing and find I'm missing just one more piece to the puzzle to make it work.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Scott,

Can a Canon Speedlite 580EX activate a Quantum T4D; wired; wireless; radio? If not, is there an adapter that allows such a combination. e.g., Quantums D13N adapter or a Yin-Yan?

I'd like to get the QT4D, however, it might be simpler to purchase a second 580EX since I know two will work wireless.

Any thoughts?

I appreciate your time in this matter.
