On my rebel XTI, I find that the display of the aperture size, shutter speed and exposure while viewing through the viewfinder is just not sharp. They appear blurd. Of course, the workaround of seeing these on the LCD and setting them and then seeing the image through the viewfinder works, but it is still a nuisance!!
Is the rebel xti that I have a bad piece or is it general to all models? I have owned this for about 6 months now so its pretty new.
Appreciate any advice. thanks!!

I think you need to adjust the diopter (the little wheel) next to the VF until the image is sharp. It sounds to me like this is not set correctly for your eyes.
How sharp do the little focus boxes look? Does the image seem sharp in the VF after you autofocus?

Thanks JeffreyG!!
I fiddled around a bit with the diopter and it looks much better now.

I fiddled around a bit with the diopter and it looks much better now. Mark the setting with a tiny drop of paint.

Best way to adjust a diopter is to remove the lens, then look thru the viewfinder. Find a feature on the focusing screen, such as the center circle, and alter the diopter setting until that feature is in sharpest focus.

Yes, and remember to disclose the paint when you sell the camera. ;)
