This car was out on a track day at my local race track. Does anyone know what make it is. I must admit i have never seen one before but it really shifted. Would look nice in my driveway thats for sure :)

Cheers

They make an interesting noise as well.....one ran in the British GT series last year and you could always tell when it was approaching:cool:

I had just been to an Al Nikah (Muslim Wedding), do you think it suits me?

I love British cars. I doubt I'll ever see one of those Morgans here in the U.S., although I was surprised to see the Mini being sold over here. I was really upset when they discontinued the Lotus Esprit in favor of the new Elise, too. The Esprit was/is one of my all time favorites.

Neil,

I thought maybe the new Avatar was just to represent the newer, more tranquil you. A good contrast from what I assume were motorcycle leathers in the previous avatar that accompanied last weeks fireworks. :D :D

Welcome back.

Yup Morgan Aero 8.

Morgan's first "new" design for centuries. Showing great business sense they then proceeded to name it after a chocolate bar and make it crosseyed. They also fitted it with the nastiest sounding V8 it's been my misfortune to hear.

It even managed to get a "two paper bag" rating on Ugly Cars (http://www.uglycars.co.uk/)

Two paper bags puts it right up there with the Morris Marina, the Vauxhall Tigra and the Daihatsu Copen. A veritable triumph!

I live about 2 miles from the Morgan factory. Quite often hear and sometimes see the Aero 8 out on test "rides". I know they are currently trying to get into the American market and they have redesigned it to meet the USA emissions and crash safety regs.

Actually fitted with a BMW engine. Don't care what Cadwell says, it sounds wonderful on full chat ;)

Still a butt ugly car though. :D

Cheers

The headlamps are actually from the VW New Beetle ... but mounted right to left.

Best regards,

I'm sorry gang, but that is intolerably ugly.

If they ship them all to the US, I'm moving to England. Anyone have a room I can rent?

Well if anyone should know ugly cars, belmodo, it'd be a yank.... the USA wrote the book on ugly car design <GDR>

Nice shot Nigel. I like the car as well. I prefer your version over the Morgan-Motor_Co shot of the Aero 8. Good stuff, keep posting.
