i really like the results of just 1 light...but i have ways to go to learn it

Actually, I think that was a pretty admirable attempt! In the first one, I wonder if it would have looked a little better if it were just a little more forward...toward the camera just about a foot, so that the majority of the light washed over baby's left side.
Guessing by the other examples of your work that I've seen, I'm sure you don't shoot w/a binky when you don't need to. ;)

I think those are wonderful. The first one is my favorite. I even think longer black sleeve may have worked even better.

yeah lol it was all to practice so binky was a must at one point lol
i think i can clone the sleeve more =)

oh about the lights - i used 1 alienbee 800 for 1/4 power...the light soprse was facing her left side - not even towards her - strickly to her face/front...

Although i love your 3-light high key set up, I love that your stepping out of your box and trying something new! you are doing great with 1 light.

I love these..... perfect for that baby that is past the newborn stage..... Fantastic work. #1 is my favorite but love them all.
