So it seems that several of you purchased the G10.... any pictures to share... Creative pics that is... i wanna see the best that the camera ast to offer....

I may be selling my LX3...

the LX3 is an awesome camera, with 1 fatal flaw.... When taking pictures of PEOPLE the barrel distortion is annoying.... see these:

Again, i want to see how the G10 is, before selling this one and picking up the G10. Depending though.... (i like the wide angle for landscape shots)

thanks....

It's not an out-of-the-ordinary "distortion" that's a problem w/the LX3, it's that its simply wide angle. Any 24mm will distort people.

Portraits and people pictures benefit from being shot at something more like 50-70mm. That being said, many folks have purchased the LX3 for the f/2.0 lens, only to find out that it's 2.8 at a reasonable zoom (more at the portrait zoom). So, the advantage of the fast lens is lost somewhat.

A good question I suppose is -- what's the f/stop on the G10 at 60mm vs. the f/stop of the LX3 at 60mm (f/2.8 ).

My a650 (a cousin to the G9) is at f/4.0 (if I remember correctly) around 60mm, making the LX3 faster. Not sure about the G10.
