I have the G10 which I carry around in a National Geographic case/bag, which is perfect for day trips.
http://www.amazon.com/National-Geographic-NG-1152-Explorer/dp/B000FJ4IDG.
However, I would like to get a bag that will carry the G10 in the NG case, my 420EX, NB7L battery and charger, 4 extra AA batteries, extra SDHC cards, and instruction booklets.
So looking for some recommendations; Thank you.
PS: what's a good site for hosting pic's so I can eventually upload some?

Kata (http://www.kata-bags.com/) makes some pretty good bags. I own one of their huge backpacks for my SLR and I love it!

Hi Marc;
Lowepro (http://www.lowepro.com/) have a full range of Backpacks, Slingbacks, Shoulder bags, Pouches etc.
They are VERY good quality.
As for hosting sites; check-out PhotoBucket, Flickr, PBase, Smugmug, Fotopic... the list is endless. Most users on POTN use one or other of those...
Cheers;

Kata (http://www.kata-bags.com/) makes some pretty good bags. I own one of their huge backpacks for my SLR and I love it! That's some good looking gear.
I been using a custom backpack style for about a year with 30D & L glass assortment, and it's starting to get heavy by the time you add flash bracket, extra batteries, 580exII.
So I'm tempting to go with the hard shell option. Mainly to lessen the hard knocks the gear gets just getting the gear to the location, then pull out the softside pack.
Or transfer what's needed to a smaller pack once there.
I sent Canon to repair my 24-70 L after someone slammed the bag to the ground.
People see a backpack, and toss it as laundry. Or slam it with car door.
You can't control every second.

Obviously you can tour Amazon, as they seem to own the planet.

What kind of carry method are you looking for. Your not talking about a big bag based on the limited gear your talking. I carry all those or the equivalent in a fanny pack from MountainSmith. I had the ThinkTank Change-Up bags but found them loose fitting in a hiking condition. The ThinkTanks don't have load stabilizers. ThinkTank makes good bags, but I find the true hiking bags better for my uses. Here is the one I use for carrying my G series, flash, off cam cord, extra batteries, adapter tube, WA and tele adapter and spare cards. I love this bag for all uses - it throws over my shoulder for reg carry and works great as a fanny pack for day hikes...

A 5MDH Crumpler should be able to fit your requirements.
Any reason why you want to use the NG case inside of a bag?

A good reference for camera bags.

Im a huge fan of Tamrac, especially their backpacks. Fits awesome right in the middle of my back and you can sling it around from the bottom and get instant access to your (fully assembled) camera if need be. Tripod straps are very secure also and wont bounce it off your trunk :)

I really like my Tamrac Adventure 9! Not sure how water-resistant it is, though...

Wow I guess I'm not so hip about this cause I'm using a soft case logic 2 compartment cd over the shoulder bag to hold my G5 plus 2 spare battery's, charger and extra cf cards. The main compartment measures 6.5Hx2.5Dx6W which fits the camera nicely and the smaller compartment has all the rest.All this for $2.99 at my thrift store and it was in mint condition.:)

i'm a sucker for a good leather case for travel. i currently have canon's brown leather case. gives it an old-school rangerfinder feel and you can remove part of it while still being able to use the lens/screen. i typically throw my flashes/batteries in my larger bag depending on where i'm going.

although it looks like you want a bit more. maybe something like this?
http://www.amazon.com/PowerShot-Digital-Compact-Additional-Shoulder/dp/B002GUI4Z0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1255410246&sr=1-2
or if you want something basic, go to Ritz or even Best Buy. they have tons of smaller cases available for dirt cheap prices.

I got my G11 on Saturday and picked up the LowePro Apex 100 AW, 270EX Speedlight and an extra NB-7L battery.
This case fits everything perfectly and is very protective when out in the elements. With the divider down the middle, I have the G11 on the right, the 270EX on the left. Below the 270EX I have the cloth pouch it comes with folded up neatly with the NB-7L battery below that.
There's a small inner front section that holds my 4 AA batteries in a plastic case, a small microfiber cleaning cloth.
All in all I think it's a perfect little case. It also has the loops on both sides to attach other pouches.
