You took 5000 frames at a tarmac rally at Pembrey? Was your shutter release button broken?

All quite nice but #8 stands out, I like the reflection in the water.

Ryan,
I am amazed ,5000 frames !!!
Truthfully ,I dont think the red hot motordrive has done you too many favours ,and these are not as good as your usual stuff given some good shooting opportunities.
Please dont be offended at my comments ,but just being honest.

Good stuff Ryan, #2, 7, 8 for me

5k wow. Just as an indicator, I took 3000 shots over 4 days last year on Rally GB

The Peter Lloyd had 6 stages ... with each stage being 2 laps. Therefore you in effect got to see each car 12 times.

I stood with Ryan for a couple of stages and he didnt seem to be firing off any more than I did .... I saw 5 stages and took 2200 on the day, may the extra stage Ryan did accounted for the extra 2800 ;)

Number 3 is nice, but 5000 frames! I've only just surpassed that with my 1D3 and I've had it 9 months!!

Some cracking shots there Ryan, all sharp and nicely lit. Don't think I'm going to bother posting mine looking at these and Jays'!

5000 frames is an astonishing number, I've taken just over 8000 in almost a year!

Chris, not offended at all! honesty is the best way, can't improve without the odd bit of neg. feedback :)
i've never really liked taking photos at Pembrey, just get your average single venue shots, which is why i tried something different on some of them :)

i can believe the 5k shots especially as being part of the 'capturing your action' photography team.

I'm the other half and took 4272 shots :-)

And bined most of them..haha

Good to know you 'aint offended Ryan, like most I hate saying neggie stuff as truthfully we all like to hear good things re our work.
I know where you are coming from looking for differant stuff,as when you are revisiting venues on a regular basis as I do with Hillclimbs,Autograss,Bangers etc ,it is pretty much the same competitors ,and same cars most years, just differant conditions and light, but same corners !
I really take notice of what the A team members say on here re single shot, and know some of my photography has suffered since I got the speedy Mk 2 and D2H (It has also benefitted too)

Being objective ,my sharpest shots are nearly always single shot looking back, and probably with my old D70s on single shot mode, prefocussed on an apex ,firing the shutter as the car came into view.
Of course ,I did miss shots too ,as things developed ,and the camera could not shoot quick enough.

What I do hate now is all the processing of the pics I take ,on average about 700 -800 on an average Hillclimb day with the Mk2.

I now find myself mulling over FX format and single shot and higher resolution for next season, and better glass ,and less noise on dark days. (The perrrenial problem ,eh )

Oh and the other ,Canon or Nikon !
