Roasted Flash?

Hey, I have been using an old Sunpak auto 144D flash (with pivoting head) for quite a while now.

Up until last week it worked fine, as I hardly ever use flash.
As of right now, it seems 'locked up'. When you turn it on, the ready light comes on without the flash recycling and stays on, BUT the flash won't fire or test.

Help?
