Hello,
I know canon states that the maximum paper weight that can be used is 28lb, but I've heard people using thicker paper with no problems. I would like to use some paper that is 67lb, do you think this would work? Has anyone else used thicker paper, and if so what was your experience?? Thanks in advance, this will decide if I purchase this printer or not, as it seems to have everything else I need.

Dont quote me on this but I think the paperweight rating they state is 28lbs based on 100 or whatever amount of papers can fit in the tray. So if you use heavier paper, maybe u can decrease the amount of paper you put in the tray

I don't have the rpinter manual with me, but I seem to remember the reason for the limit is spacing between inkjets and paper, your results may not be as good or you the top of the paper may press against the print head. Also it may be a factor of can it bend correctly as it goes through the printer. It is not a straight feed. On the other hand, I have fed paper through that is heavier before with no problem (magnectic strips). It is thinkness not weight that is important as far as feeding through.

Well the heavier the paper is, generally the thicker it is, but if u can fit a magnetic strip then u can definetly fit some 60 lbs paper. No clue for the i9900 though as im not gonna be the first to try it lol.
