There was a recent discussion here about noise reduction software. I wanted to post this portrait as an example for anyone who hasn't downloaded some yet. This photo was handheld, Rebel D, 17-40 f/4 at 1/13second, f/4, ISO 3200. No flash, just what little ambient light there was. Cleaning it up with Noiseware made it more than useable. The full size version looks great. I'll be moving from the community version to the standard version very soon if this is the results it provides. Oh yeah, it's my wife by the way, after enjoying Valentine dinner.

and I'd love comments too, I need to get better at taking portraits.

Alrighty then, if you are going to have someone looking away from the lens in a portrait, then you might want to have them move their head in the same direction a bit as well, so that they are not showing so much of the whites of their eyee, which tends to give a strained look.
