OK, so I haven't touched my 10D in almost a month, and feel I'm rusty (once again). So, I figured why not start again with the roses I gave my wife for Valantine's Day.

I know it's not the best image, but any feedback .. composition, lighting, exposure, bokeh, colors, etc.. will be most appreciated.

Actually I like the composition on both of them, but the bright spot on the balloon is distracting. Also, on the first one I like the backround bokeh, but where the light and shade meet on the wall tends to lead the viewers eyes there and the open doors on the second one are distracting as well. Usually, a smooth even lighted background is best to keep the attention on the main subject, unless it is some sort of an environmental portrait, or pertainent to intire image. Where's that dang spell check. Nice composition, just be aware of the backround.

Thanks for the great advice and feedback. I'll need to practice different ways of trying this kind of photography.

Thanks for the valued feedback.
