( please try and not see the 'moving' hand )http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif
lisa and her sister were on a very busy street in the city doing some kind of missionary work during the summer
I thought she was beautiful in an unusual way
the photo is not 100% (or near it )
but tried to get the best of her in the sunlight .
I love her face

Marie,
nice!
Very beautiful girl, but you have a weird effect in the photo.
Best regards,
Andy

thanks for saying Andy
I couldn't figure out what I done to cause the hand to look so bad
(if that's what you mean and not the blinds)
I just checked the initial pictures right off the camera and the hand looks like that
something happened when I was taking the shot
I know she moved it but it came out really weird.
and I never noticed it so bad until I was finished with it tonight
and posted it anyway.
didn't like it like that in the picture
but loved her face and didn't like to let her pass without her being seen
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif
I know the rest of the picture is not done well
(my work on it)
but the hand looks bad enough in the original picture
weird big and blocky.
funny thing is ,she has her hands covered in two other shots I took of her.
this was just in a few minutes taking the shots altogether.
a jacket is thrown over the other hand in another shot.
here is the shot without the blinds and a little larger
just to show you
thanks again

I like the version without the blinds better.
The blinds (your artistic contribution) was what struck me as a bit weird.
I don't mind the hand and the movement in the legs of the other woman at all, it conveys some dynamic to the picture.
Best regards,
Andy

I agree with andy. The blinds are a little to "KABOOM!" when the better approach is to go for the "boom"

Marie: Just to show you that there are as many different answers as there are questions.
I like the one that you did with the blinds added in. It makes it look like a reflection in a window which I like. The second one seems a little flat (sic) to me. :>)
If you don't like the hand then crop it out and make it gone, throw it away!
She really is a very beautiful young woman.

Marie, I kind of like the blinds effect. I first thought that it was a shot of a window reflection. The movement of the lady in the background adds alot to it as well.
You always seem to be able to come up with something unique.

I know fully what you mean but I prefer the blind effect myself
maybe could have made the slats in the blinds slightly narrower
( just talking about my own view)
as anyone who does not like them , they (the blinds) are better off gone altogether
but if I want to have them
and I do
I think I will make them more narrow
I can always change their colour to barely blend in
enough to make a slight difference in the original photograph

the views are always so many and varied John and it's very interesting to know them too
in the end we all always have to form our own opinions about what we see.
it's just that our eyes can be opened by listening and looking at others opinions and shots.
then we do our own thing anywayhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif
thanks a lot

not sure how to get rid of this particular hand yet
cropping it down that far would not suit the overall picture
what I would love to know is what happened
did the sunlight catch something in her pen and distort the hand caught in the digital image.
have to think about it morehttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif

she is not as sharp (photowise) as I would have liked.
maybe that's why (deep down) I add the blinds to some of the girls pictures
makes it seem like a fuzzy dream that the beautiful girls are caught up in

thanks Andy.
the other person's leg movement never bothered me either
it's just the hand
overall I have to do a better job on the picture anyway

Nice capture. I prefer it without the effects but I generally prefer my photos straight up. Thanks for sharing.

Shutter speed is more than likely below 1/60th with is what I think caused the motion in the hands and legs etc etcf

it's not the motion. I expect that
it's the weirdy look which came with it
and later this afternoon (here it is evening time) I only saw that her other hand really is not 'well'
I find it extraordinary, as it is this hand here which looks odd (even if it is moving)
but I never saw a movement come out quite like that with the digital pictures
on looking closer at the other photo (in the other post) it's the other hand which has trouble. for real.
she is a beautiful girl
thanks

Lovely girl Marie, I love street candids. I must admit though, the blind effect doesn't do it for me - I much prefer your original un-edited shot! Even in art, I like the realist effect - the Da Vinci versus the Picasso (an extreme example perhaps...)
