Ok - here's one for the list. And yes, it's probably off topic for this list, but one should always turns to their peers for help before asking strangers.
In support of my wolf studies I have purchased a Nikon 82mm ED Fieldscope and MX-A CCD camera system. It allows for viewing the image on a seperate 4"x5" LCD monitor along with recording the images on an attached camcorder.
It also comes with a Nikon-f adapter, to allow the use of Nikon lenses when not used with the fieldscope. This makes the CCD into a 'TV camera' allowing for viewing, again on an attached 4"x5" LCD screen.
Does anyone know of an adapter for Canon lenses allowing for them to be used on a Nikon? I'd rather not by a Nikon lense unless I have to, esp. since I'm a Canon Man...

There is a Sticky thread in the EOS forum (where we tend to discuss lenses) whos subject is lens adapters.

I've looked at everything marked EOS, ran a search for lens adapter, and then another for sticky lens adapter ... no luck.
No idea where the EOS forum is that discusses lens adapters. Could someone maybe point it out with a link?

To answer your question ... it won't work.
Nikon on Canon, yes.
Canon on Nikon, no.
Better get some MF Nikon lenses from eBay, you could use these on your Canon with an adapter, and they are good glass.
Saw a very good looking 200/2.8 lens going for around 250$ last week.
Best regards,
Andy

Thanks for the info Andy.
After several hours of webcrawling last night I discovered that a nikon lens works on canon eos in a limited manner, but there is nothing to get a canon lens to work on a nikon...
Guess I'm buying a N*k*n lens

Turbowolf ... wait a second!
I thought it over again when I was in the shower this morning.
You don't actually want to use a Canon lens on a Nikon body.
You want to use a Canon lens on a video camera (for which you also have a Nikon adapter)
What you *really* want is to search the web if there is an alternative adapter that lets you mount a Canon lens instead of a Nikon lens on your video camera.
So if your video camera had a standard video mount (e.g., a C-Mount), then you might look here: http://www.stellar-international.com/newcmount.html
There is also a company that custom makes all kinds of adapters: http://www.srbfilm.co.uk/index1.html
However, these are most likely much more expensive than getting standard adapters.
Is this helpful to you?
Best regards,
Andy
