Separation is done with varied lighting or by distance, if I'm correct (if not, please do correct me).

I like these a lot...do you have a simple pair of bloomers or something that you could toss on your infant models to cover the diapers? It just seems to really take away from an otherwise....angelic photo. These are really nice, I like them a lot.

And I totally get having to shoot at 3am to get much cooperation. ;) A certain little man used to pull the same stunt. It'll get better, I promise.

I was thinking the same thing. I think bare skin or cloth diapers or a cute diaper cover would have been more appealing. :)

Hey Katia, great shots. With these being in black and white it just makes it harder to tell, i have seen the color versions and i can distinctly tell where the wings and background seperate on the colored ones. Nicely done, and since you took these at 3 am and she is asleep, im assuming that you didnt cover her diaper up because you did not want to wake her up lol. Cause i know you...and you most always cover it. But great job! and you are doing wonderful in stepping out of your high key box!

ty guys....i didnt cover because this was suppost to be a practice shoot and nothing else, I was supposed to get a newborn on that weeekend byt they canceled but i was still in a newborn mood. so because i never done 1 light set up and never done wings i practised on a stuff toy but though to get the real baby. So i dint thought to put anything else on her fopr that matter. But when i do this for real i will cover the diaper fo sure. Its kinda nice to practice and see what you have results wise so you can improve, This was my very first try :) so i know to put seperation light too.
