A beautiful shot of a perfect mountain.
Little wonder it was worshipped as a sacred mountain.

I had been excited about heading off to Ben Lui in the Scottish Highlands tomorrow (1130 metres), now I'm wondering why. :?
Just hope there's plenty of snow.

Thanks! Mount Fuji happens to be pretty photogenic, so it's hard to go wrong. If you get any decent shots of Ben Lui, it probably says more about your photographic skills than anything. :-) Please post them when you do.

Amazing - open the dictionary to "Mountain" and this photo should be there...

I was out there 2 summers ago and the whole time I was out there, it was totally cloudy so i never even saw Fuji-san from the ground,
let alone get a sweet shot like yours of him.
A buddy [pictured] and I climbed all through the night through those clouds at the bottom to catch the sunrise.
Unfortunately, it was wet, freezing and feeling the affects of the altitude, so i wasn't in any shape to take any good shots with the little sony 2MP i borrowed.

This is what a sunrise from Fuji-san looks like on a cloudy morning:
