I got a DVD recently (20-D) by Blue Crane .. it's simply an instructional manual.
I played it once (months ago) and I wanted to look something up, and now I get this error mess:
DVD ERROR
Windows media player cannot play this DVD because the disc prohibits playback in your
region of the world. You must obtain a disc that is intended for your geographic region.
What the ???
I put it in my other computer, (Windows XP) and it played fine ..
Any Vista guru's around to help?
Thanks

Have you played anything else in your DVD drive that might have been from a different region?

Sounds like either the region code on your DVD is outside the US (Region 1), you changed the Region Code on your DVD player or you just haven't setup the Region yet.
In any case, you can just download http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ ... it plays just about anything.

Ummm I might have .. that is, I believe that I was asked when I was doing something earlier.
I coulda sworn I clicked on USA .. damn .. how do I get back there?
Oh I know what it was .. it asked me if I wanted to open it in windows, or IE ..
and I never open media stuff (that much) in windows .. Grrrr, I ferget what I did ..
Thanks MaxxuM .. I'm looking at it ..
