Downloading pics from my camera (RAW pics) takes forever. What kind of card reader will speed up this process? Will a generic USB 2.0 CF reader work well?
The fastest card I have is x133 kingston CF

Check out the Lexar readers. http://www.lexar.com/readers/index.html
I have been using the Firewire 400 reader for several years. Seems to be about twice as fast as my USB readers. I am using SanDisk Extreme III CF cards. If you are a PC user, you may have to spend $20 for a Firewire card.

I use a SanDisk firewire card reader, it is WAY faster than my slightly older SanDisk USB 2.0 reader

SanDisk ImageMate 12-in-1 (http://www.sandisk.com/products/item%281145%29-sddr-89-a15-sandisk_imagemate_12in1_readerwriter.aspx) USB 2.0.
9 mb/second with an inexpensive Kingston 2 GB CF card.

I had an old Lexar card that took very long to download on the computer.
I bought the SanDisk Extreme Card Reader and it takes about a minute for all of my pics to appear. Cost about $25.00
