Hello,

I have question here..
I own 2 studio flashes ( 200w for each ) and used them with my canon xsi and a Chinese made radio trigger. an i want to add a 3rd flash to my set.
so i thought maybe i can use Canon 580ex II, so .. is it possible to sync the 580ex II with my 2 flashes ?? and how ?

Best Regards,

Did you mean the 430EX II or the 580EX II? In either case, the EX flash does not have a built-in optical trigger so you can sync it with the other two strobes. However, if you trigger the EX flash with the radio trigger, you can optically trigger the strobes with it, assuming that the strobes have optical slaves built-in.

The 580EX II has a PC port but the 430EX does not so you'll need a hotshot adapter to use the radio trigger with it.

If you use the EX flash (in manual mode) mounted on the camera, you won't need the radio trigger to trigger the EX flash.

An optical slave would work too, but not all optical slaves work with Speedlites.

I'd just add another chinese receiver for the 580ex II

Make sure you get an English version of the receiver if you have an English flash, so they understand each other. If you bought your flash from China or Japan it'll be fine with the Chinese receiver. Alternately you can buy a translator module.
