Oh this is very good...

Looks every bit like a high-quality maritime painting. Deserves to be printed large and prominently displayed!

[EDIT] You really ought to contact Cunard and see if they'd like to buy this. IMO, it's that good...

Wow, you really have a special shot there. I would definitely print and display it.

Thanks for the kind comments, I took quite a few on the day, but this particular image seemed nice. I've had it printed at 15"x10" and it looks great.!
wow.. selling it to 'cunard'...didn't think of that, suppose its worth a try..!

Thanks again.:):)

One small suggestion if I may:

Have a little play with just the sky and see if you can pull just a tad more definition out of the clouds...

Really nice photo you have there - nice that the water wasn't too calm
One further suggestion - the horizon is very marginally sloping, it's about a mm lower on the right side, minimal I know but maybe worth changing.

Amazing shot. I grew up in Crosby and remember seeing the QE2 go past a few years ago, before I even owned a camera! It was mildly amusing watching people get trapped on sand banks!

I wish I'd been there to see this...!

Great shot. Why is it being retired?

Yes, I knew that, but they couldn't have bought it if it weren't for sale. I'm wondering why it was for sale. Too expensive to run, rust holes in the bottom, engines wearing out, not worth fixing. It must have been something. :)

She won't qualify under the new 2010 SOLAS regulations. Besides Cunard got a ton of money for her all considering. You won't be seeing many of the older ships past 2010.
